Internet Explorer 6.0 includes many new and enhanced features that can simplify the daily tasks you perform while helping you to maintain the privacy of your personal information on the Web. The integrated Advanced Search bar makes it a snap to find whatever you may be looking for on the Web. The Image Toolbar feature allows you to quickly and easily save pictures, e-mail pictures, and print pictures that you find on Web pages. You can also view all your saved pictures in the My Pictures folder. When you point to pictures on Web pages, the My Pictures toolbar appears, giving you instant access to My Pictures functions.

For the slightly nostalgic, anti-establishment power user, no other browser will do. Speedy and stable, with the look and feel of yesteryear's beloved Netscape Navigator, Mozilla is undoubtedly competitive, if not always intuitive. But if you're willing to poke around, you'll find a number of handy browsing features, including managers for pop-ups, cookies, forms, images, passwords, and downloads. Mozilla features a readily accessible suite of Internet applications such as mail and newsgroup clients, an HTML editor, and IRC chat (alas, no IM). You'll quickly realize that Mozilla assumes you are either an active or aspiring member of the open source community. For example, the sidebar offers otherwise straightforward shortcuts to related links, Web search, bookmarks, and history, but also includes a check-in point for developers fixing Mozilla bugs--potentially mystifying to the uninitiated. But insiders will appreciate these touches as well as the overall sense of control, and welterweights may be inspired to take their browsing to the next level.

SmartFTP allows you to transfer files across the Internet. It features an Explorer-like interface that is fully customizable and supports drag-and-drop functions. Multiple FTP connections can be opened at the same time, and you can copy files from one remote host to another. Remote host directory information is cached for future viewing, FTP URLs are supported, and you can even view HTML pages within the client.

WS_FTP is a standard FTP client for Windows sockets. The graphical interface was designed with the novice FTP user in mind, but there are also advanced features for power users. WS_FTP Pro provides advanced support for handling frequently visited FTP sites, time-outs, port numbers, passive file transfers, and firewalls. It also automatically resumes interrupted transfers and includes file-maintenance options to help prevent overwriting files. The program also enables remote-to-remote transfers and has command-line support for automating file maintenance operations.

Job processing is done by separate threads, so you can then continue browsing directories or connect to another server and begin another transfer. This latest version includes proxy support, an updated FTP search interface, various bug fixes, a comctl32.dll check, and support for Windows 2000/XP.Update: This title is no longer being updated but is still available for download.

CloneCD

CloneCD is a powerful CD-Copy program. It writes in Raw mode, which allows it to have total control on the data written. Therefore, CloneCD will produce real 1:1 copies of your CDs. No other program we are aware of is able to do this.
Because of its special operation, CloneCD requires a CD-Writer which is capable of writing in this mode. Unfortunately only a few CD-Writers support this.
